Running speed increase caps off at 33%. Individual skills can bypass it, but they can't stack past 33%.
In short: no. |

So if you use a 50% increase in speed at the same time as some other speed mod. What will be your final speed? 33% faster or 50% faster? Does it take the highest value?

What about Essence of Celerity and a running stance? (25% or 33%, doesn't matter)

Speaking of which, I forget, can speed stances cancel out hexes? If I recall back in early 2006 ANet released an update that either made it so they can or they can't. I recall being able to sprint my way out of cripples, though - that or I was drunk at the time.

Before that update, all +speed boosts did nothing to help you. |

Is that update in effect now? Because as in my previous post, I was recently hit with a slow, and a speed boost I used did nothing to change my speed. Not enough to notice at least.

It's been in effect for quite a while now. Try to remember the exact speed boost and hex you were hit with and there might be an explanation.

Mergoyle Wavebreaker also uses Deep Freeze so it's possible that was the reason your Windborne Speed didn't have any effect.

I dont think they were wavebreakers, I was coming from Beetletun. The speedboost was windborne speed, as I was Mo/E to get Grasping Earth from Hot Spring Murders quest.
